3 Seed Coating Techniques: Pelleting, Encrusting, and Film Coating.
Pelleting - increase the weight, size, and shape of seeds to create uniformity, smoothness, and accuracy in the planting process, thus faciliate the automatic planting devices and the application of protection additives.
Encrusting - coated with a lighter covering than pelleting, to have smooth and uniform seed surfaces.
Film Coating - add antifungal or insecticide products, as well as the biostimulants and active ingredients; no change to the shape of seeds.
Seed pelleting technology is a processing method in which inert materials are added to the outer layer of small or irregular-shape seeds to make them meet a certain size specification. Encrusting is achieved by adding material to the outer layer of the seed to achieve the desired weight.
Advantages of Seed Pelleting and Encrusting:
1. Improve the germination rate of seeds, and no any toxicity to plants; .
2. Improve the seeding performance: no seeds sticking. Treated seeds have smooth surface, good fluidity and not easy for flaking, effectively improve the sowing performance of seeds.
3. Qualified rate of pelletizing 99%, pelletized single seed rate of 99%, pressure resistance of pelletized single grain ≥ 1.8N
4. Hot air dryer dries the pelletized seeds in a short time and removes impurities, the surface after drying is uniform and smooth.
5. Pelleting material (powder) increase the volume, smooth the surface, and enhance the fluidity without harm to seed germination.
6. Rotating disc components: heat-treated carbon steel, frame: common carbon steel, and the rest are made of stainless steel.
